So I took on a project this last week that I didn't think was going to work out but surprise of all surprises - I LOVE it! I have been looking for a new dresser for months because M. and I were still sharing a dresser since we've been married and - hello - I have way more clothes than that. SO...I walked out to put a dirty diaper in the dumpster and this is what I found.
Nice action shot of E. helping me peel of the disgusting stickers. It must have been owned by some disgusting teenage boy that liked horror movies from the early '90's, smoked pot and wore Aqua Di Gio because it was rank and dirty and disgusting and bad taste - that's all my venting, I feel better now.

I couldn't show a shot of the entire dresser because the other side had some nasty profanities that some might find a bit offensive but you get the point right? So, I didn't know how this was going to work out but I was surprised to find that it worked out quite nicely. After some major scrubbing and scraping I painted it a beautiful yellow, distressed it and then modpodged some paper on top and in the drawers.

Then online I found these amazing knobs that I promptly purchased and thanks to the great man I bought them from I received them within a couple days and could put them on. So here you have a finished project (though the lighting is terrible, sorry). I love it and it was so much fun. I love refinishing furniture and I would refinish everything in my house if I could - though that might be overkill right? Anyway, I hope you all like it as much as I do - because I totally love it.
