Aquarium and pickin' berries

M.'s cousin and her fabulous family have lived in Monteray for the 8 months or so and we have LOVED being near family.  (Yes, we count an hour away as near).  So a couple weeks ago we made a day of it and had a total blast.  We picked oodles and oodles of strawberries at the cutest little farm that we must go back to because they had such yummy pie and the quaintest little cafe where we can unnecessarily blow some money.  Then we traveled down to Monteray Bay Aquarium.  M. and I have been to some great zoos, aquariums and even sea world and I think this was the most educational and great aquarium we've been to.  E. loved it and it was so kid friendly.  It was wonderful and we will definitely be going back.

Here are some strawberries smiles.  (Taken with Celeste's phone - Thank you Cele!)

"What?  No more until we pay for them?  That's lame" - This is my favorite shot.

The aquarium was great, look at the excitement in E.'s face.

This tunnel was so cool.  The waves from the bay come in and splash all around you.  It's beautiful and the kids thought it was the coolest thing ever!

E. ended with this Madagascar 3 circus number.  M. took him to see it a couple weeks ago and he hasn't stopped singing "Afro Circus" since.

More X-man.

X. has mad skills when it comes to getting into trouble and eating.  Here he's showing off his skills drinking out of a big boy glass.  He drank a good cup or so of water out of that glass.  He's kind of a stud.

He's not really interested in using this toy as a walker yet but he loves his little bike and affectionately calls it his "Vroom Vroom".  In't he cute?

Beyond obsession!

Some may call it obsession.  Some may call it love.  Some may call it crazy-sauce but I call it awesome!

Yep, it is that big and that awesome.

Lots O' Faces

Here's a little look at the crazy faces X. makes.  Each set of pictures were taken within a few seconds of each other.  I think he might be a little bi-polar.  He changes his face faster than we can take his picture.

"I'm so sad."
"Even sadder!"
"Oh wait, what's that?"
"Say what?  It's not for me?"

"Hey, I'm eatin' here!"
"You want some?"
"My heart. It's breaking."
"Fine, I'll eat it."
"So happy! It was so good!"
"Clap for myself.  I love food."
"You sure you don't want some?"
"You make-a-me so sad.  Just eat my snacks with me."
"Don't you love me?"
"Alright, get-out-a my face then!"
"Seriously?  Seriously?"
"Alright, I'm happy again."

E. captioned the following:
"I wanna watch Thomas and Friends. Right. Now."
"Give me a hug.  Go Diego Go!"
"Uh, why can't I watch Little Einsteins?  I wanna!"
"I can watch Octonauts!"

Can you tell E. likes TV?  Feel free to leave some of your own captions.  I love this little face.

Daily happenings.

Jumping on the heels of my "Mucho Random" post recently here are some of our daily happenings around here.  Some goofy faces doing goofy daily things.

 E. loves to listen to the ipod with my new headphones and in his headphone shirt.
 X. got hold of a marker one day and luckily this was the most damage that occurred.  He's pretty sneaky - I'm sure the next time I won't be so lucky.
This is X.'s favorite activity.  He pulls EVERYTHING off of our shelves.  EVERYTHING!  He especially likes the books and then he likes to rip them apart.  Since we have books everywhere in our house we've had to start getting a little more creative.

I love this face.  He's totally thinking "Why do you have such a problem with me destroying things Mom?"
I didn't get any pictures of Memorial Day (and we had a lot of fun so I'm totally bummed about that).  Though, we did get a shot of the amazing ice cream sundae bar we set up.  We made the ice cream from M's new ice cream maker and it was so fun and delicious!
 E. has been doing great with school.  He's doing some math here and though it's not his favorite subject he's getting better at it.  (This kid can't take a "real smile" picture to save his life.)

 M. will be so happy that I posted this but yes, this is me conquoring the Chard household in Monopoly.  E. requested that we play it the other day and it ended up being an all day tournament for M. and I.  He slaughtered me in the first game but I came back, crushed him and ate my Reese's pieces.

 X. has officially learned how to throw himself out of his play chair.  We no longer have a place to corral him unless he's in his bed.  Look out book shelves, you have no more protection.

This is what X. looks like after every meal.  He's an absolute mess!  You can't see just how messy he is in this picture but his favorite after meal activity is rubbing food in his hair.  He's cute, but he's messy.
