We had a nice, quiet Easter this year. We tried to be more low key with the focus more on Christ rather than the creepy bunny that sneaks into your house at night and leaves stolen eggs. (That's another discussion). We celebrated a little early since M. had to fly out to Utah for a conference.
We dyed some eggs.
X. looked really creepy in this shot.
But he made up for his earlier creepiness with these shots. Isn't he so cute when he's not a total pill?
Look at that cute face! Don't you just want to tackle him and kiss those cheeks? I do often, then he screams, makes a duck face and squirms away.
We went to the park for an egg hunt with friends.
We had a simple dinner and some fun Resurrection Rolls for dessert. (Those were a big hit, I'll have to remember them for next year).
Then we had a super dark egg hunt. We pulled out some flashlights but those pictures didn't work out so well so here are some dark and blurry shots of the boys enjoying their spoils.
We tried these "Italian Easter Rolls" for breakfast Easter morning and I definitely need to work on them. They were great in presentation and theory but the egg didn't cook through and it was WAY too much bread for any one person to eat. I liked the idea, I need to work on the execution. Any how, happy Easter and April Fools Day to you all. My masterful picture taking skills were MIA today due to the lack of another hand. We did have fun with lots of fun tricks and funny food. I hope you all had a good one!
