Halloween

I convinced M. to give in to my crazy Halloween obsession and he was brave enough to put on man tights and dress as Peter Pan.  E. was Captain Hook and fittingly, I was Wendy.  It turned out fab and we had a blast.
We started the night with some spidery deviled eggs and some spooky pizza.

Then Captain Hook came out with his fabulousness.  Is this not the most adorable little creature you've ever seen?  He played his part well.
Lying dead after fighting Peter Pan.
 Best shot EVER!

 Coming to a truce?

 Never!
We ran into his little buddy at the trunk or treat who was dressed as a pirate and wanted to hold his little hook.
 And some family pics.

 Perfection.

My new hidden talent.

It only comes once a year so it's taken me 27 years to realize - I'm a fantastic pumpkin carver!  Who knew?  I've never used the little tools or the kit (which is probably the reason for the fantastic-ness but I don't want to admit that) so this year when I used all the new-fandangled-greatness that is a pumpkin carving kit I found my new hidden talent.  That's right, I'm pretty darn good.  Here's proof you unbelievers.

E. and M. beginning work on M's masterpiece.

E. was going to paint his pumpkin but when he wanted it carved the duty fell to yours truly.

E. was already in bed but here are the spectacular pictures of our finished products.

Spooky-ookie!

Our ultra sexy model poses. (Don't hate M, I love you).

Can you guess who's pumpkin is who's?  Go ahead, the first person to guess will win a prize!
A.  Hot Head
 B. Spooky Dragon

C. Sneak a Peek

This is the next day, we didn't get pics of E. the night before so he got his own model photo shoot.  Isn't he just handsome and fabulously silly?

Happy Halloween!  Hope it's a spooky one!

Alright folks, there is a fabulous craft fair coming up that I'm so very excited to be doing.  There will be a ton of people (OK, 12) with booths and there will be all kinds of stuff there.  Obviously I'm putting in my headbands, as well as some fun Christmas stuff, there will also be hats and blankets and toys and belts and gift ideas and food and a Scentsy booth and all kinds of fabulous stuff.  I'm really terribly excited.  If anything you should just come and eat some of the free goodies we'll have there.

íCuiden a sus hijos!

I really don't understand what some people are thinking.  Seriously.  M. chose a random route home tonight and we found ourselves on a fairly busy road, not crazy but definitely not a place for a little 3 year old to be walking home by himself.  We drove by a little boy, he couldn't have been more than 3, really just barely older than E., and he was walking down the sidewalk like he didn't have a care in the world.  We turned around and followed him around a corner where he just kept walking.  He started approaching a woman getting her mail so we asked her if she knew the little boy.  She had assumed that because we were following him that he was ours and wasn't paying attention.  The little boy was hispanic and she knew there were a few families on the other block so that's the way we all headed off.  He seemed to know where he was going so we followed him even though he wasn't speaking.  His older brother finally saw us and said he thought the little boy was going in the house.  The older woman and myself told his mother that he was over on the other block and with a barely audible "thank you" she looked away and just started speaking to her sons in Spanish.  We tried to get her attention again by saying that he had walked over to the other block ALONE and if we hadn't felt like we should stop he would have still been walking.
Anyway, to make a long story short (well, I made it pretty long anyway) it's nice to have a husband that speaks Spanish even though neither of us look like we possibly could.  After the mother ignored both of us M. yelled out the car window  "íCuiden a sus hijos!"

Boo!

Excuse my lack of commitment to this blog.  It's essentially become a forum for posting pictures of my insanely adorable son for family and friends to "ooo" and "ahh" over. (Terrible, I know.) My dedication just isn't here right now, but we still have family and friends that want to see pictures of how much more adorable E. gets everyday.  So, here you are.  Some pictures of E. at the pumpkin patch.  Yes, he is absolutely adorable, and yes, we are having a hell of a lot of fun.

Here's a little contrast from last year at the same pumpkin patch.  Rock Star then, rock star now.
