As per tradition, we made it out to a pumpkin patch last week. E. played. X. slept and I was recovering from the flu so I mostly took pictures and watched. It was so beautiful and so nice to get out of the city. We found our first cornfield out here and it made all of us long for Indiana. We definitely miss our old Lafayette stomping grounds.
E. loved the maze. He was a little cheater pants though and jumped the edge most of the time.
Like I said, X. just slept the entire time.
Spooky-ookie.
This had to be the slowest, lamest train ride ever but E. loved every little slow turn of the wheels. Son, for future reference, here is evidence that we gave you things you wanted even if we knew they were going to be incredibly lame. You're welcome.
Goof-pods.
E. took this picture. He's getting to be a hot shot with the camera.
Aww...cute.
You'd think he was mad right? No, just being E.
Don't you just want to kiss those big cheeks and snuggle that chubby little body? He's so cute and yummy.
I love this picture, the sunflowers were so beautiful.
M. captured a rainbow! E. and I have been learning about them and he was so excited about this picture.
Look at that hottie in those sexy shades.
Cuddlin' with our cuties.
We finished off our night by eating at our new favorite restaurant and getting this beauty. Yes, it says Green Apple Jalepeno. It was disgusting and E. drank every drop in his cup. We watched Enchanted and had a very spooky beginning to our Halloween Weekend.
Of course I couldn't get the flu and not pass it on to someone else. The lucky winner was...E! Poor little man threw up all Saturday and then missed the Trunk or Treat at our church that night. He made up for it by getting to dress up as Captain Monkey Jammies Hero Man. (Self titled of course)
He's just getting into character.
We started our Halloween with a very spooky breakfast and some brotherly love. Usually X. gets pretty freaked out when E. comes close but he was enjoying this particular mauling.
Then things got creepy and we turned into a family of bed head zombies! Ahhh!
For dinner we fixed some brains, maggots, snakes and witch hats (we got really creative with our last minute fixin's). E. loved it though.
Because of the flu running through our house we only dressed up the boys and X was only in costume for about 2.5 minutes. E. was Thomas, X. was his conductor and M. and I were going to be Lady and Sir Topham Hatt. It just never happened unfortunately. Oh well, so goes life. My boys are cutie pants though.
You can see he still wasn't feeling great. He loved trick or treating though and came back with a ton of loot. He was so tired though he just sat and watched Shrek. Poor little Thomas.
I told him to pick his first favorite treat and he gave me this "thinking pose". Can you say little ham-a-lam? Goofy dude.
