The latest.

So, just over a week ago we got an alarming phone call.  Baby X has had some breathing problems since he was born.  He chokes, gasps, wheezes and just struggles.  We took him to a specialist who took an x-ray just to make sure that he has what we thought from the beginning.  Well, last week she called and told us that he had a shadow pressing on his windpipe.  Obviously we freaked out a little.  She told us we needed to go in for an MRI and a bronchoscopy and she thought it could be a vascular ring. As you can imagine we were really scared.

On Tuesday we went in for the MRI and the scope, which was crazy awful.  BUT...everything is wonderful and he's a perfectly healthy little boy!  He has what's called Laryngomalacia or floppy larynx.  His throat collapses into itself.  His epiglottis is also really enlarged and blocks his breathing and makes him choke a lot.

Now we're officially celebrating that X doesn't have to have surgery and that he will eventually grow out of this.  It should completely fix itself by the time he's 2.  Happy day, happy news and I give total credit to the prayers and fasting of our family and friends.  Thank you everyone for your love and help.  We love our little baby and can't tell you enough how happy we are that we don't have to put him through any of that.

And here is a picture of our handsome little hunk for your enjoyment.  Don't you just want to kiss that cute little face?
