Hello blogging world - long time no see. I know, I know (Gabriel) that you're all dying for me to update if only so that you're not constantly seeing the title "Smorgasbord of pictures" anymore. Man, I've gotten a lot of crap about that one. Well, all of you fabulously fun followers, here is a little update to squelch your dying need to find out where I dropped off the planet.
Well, this is a picture-less post since I don't have my computer and a few other obtrusive events have taken me out of the blogging game for a bit.
Mario graduated, it was terribly lovely. My wonderful mother came out to save my life and help us move across the country. Pictures to come soon - I promise. We moved to Utah with only a few incidentals and I don't think any casualties with our stuff - very impressive. As I said, my mother saved my life. I would have been kicking, screaming and crying the entire week but she made it fun and easy and did pretty much all the work. She's amazing. Then she had to endure us moving in with her. E. is in my old bedroom and M. and I are in my sister's old bedroom. The same setup as when we had E., I guess that's just how we like to play it. We like to have babies while living with my parents. I feel like I'm back in high school but I have kids and a live in boyfriend. Weird. Oh well. Deal with it Cate Blanchett.
So, a week after moving to Utah this sweet little baby that I'm carrying (then 29 weeks) dropped. And when I say dropped I mean - DROPPED. A week later I was in labor and delivery with preterm labor. They slowed it down for a bit, put me on bed rest for a week and gave me some meds to help the contractions. Bed rest helped but the meds just put me to sleep and made me have even more contractions, so I stopped taking them. I was doing better and moving more but still resting most days. THEN...dun, dun, dun. I started having worse contractions and more pressure and when I went to the doctor again I found out that I'm dilated and this baby is low and ready to go. I'm currently 33 weeks and we aren't hoping for an early baby. Well, a week early would be lovely, but not this early. So, yes, I'm completely breaking rules by typing this as I should be laying in bed resting because I'm back on bed rest. Can I just say that bed rest sucks? Really, it is so not fun to tell your adorable little 3 year old all day that you can't get down and play trains and you can't run outside to swing him on the swings and you can't pick him up when he falls and cries. I know I may just be a big baby because a lot of people would probably love sitting in a recliner watching TV and crocheting all day but I've already made two baby blankets, 6 hats and I'm working on a huge afghan right now that I suspect will be finished in about a week. So, I'm not in love with this system.
Anyway, it could be worse. I haven't had the baby and please pray that I don't because I would love for him to be big and healthy and for him to come right home with us. He does look quite adorable in his 4D ultrasound.
I recognize this isn't the happiest post and hopefully soon there will be gallons of fun poured out all over this website. But for now, know that I spend about 5 minutes a week on the computer and that's probably too much, but soon my friends, soon.
