My impromptu "I forgot to plan something special for breakfast" breakfast. Blue pancakes, strawberry syrup and whipped cream. Then eggs on the side - no holiday significance there. Later we had red, white and blue cupcakes. I'm not a great baker - at all. But I can make box cupcakes and put food coloring in them so they look cool. That's about it. So that's usually what my family gets on special occasions. I know, it's getting old. Deal with it Cate Blanchett.
X. finally had his first homemade chocolate chip cookie right out of the oven. It was gone SO fast! He loved it and fulfilled all my dreams of a messy sweets eater. Cute chocolatey face.
